On 24 March, the National Waterfowl Industry Technology System Disease Prevention and Control Research Laboratory held a workshop on 2023 tasks at the Chengdu campus of Sichuan Agricultural University. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss in depth the laboratory's technical R&D tasks. Participants included scientists and members of the Disease Prevention and Control Research Laboratory, Liao Shouquan, Director of the Mianyang Comprehensive Experimental Station and his team, Wang Jiwen and Professor Liu Hehe, scientists from the Waterfowl Industry System Breeding Technology and Methods Post, and more than 60 students and teachers from the waterfowl research team of Sichuan Agricultural University.

     The meeting was chaired by Prof. Zhang Dabing, Director of the Disease Prevention and Control Research Office. Prof Tang Yi, Huang Yu and Cheng Anchun reported on the R&D plans to be carried out by their respective positions and discussed the evaluation indices in detail. Professors Wang Jiwen and Liu Hehe were invited to discuss cross-platform interdisciplinary cooperation.

     Finally, Prof. Zhang Dabing summarised and clarified the R&D tasks of each position. This workshop is important for clarifying the tasks in 2023, which will strongly support the prevention and control of waterbird diseases.
